Hi! I am Mrs. Jennifer Colsey and I love being the Kindergarten Teacher at Faith Christian Academy. This is
my 13th year in this position. I have my Undergrad degree from Messiah College (A BS in Human Resource Management) and
my Masters Degree in Teaching from SUNY New Paltz and am NY State Certified for K-6. I also have my Lifetime Certification from
ACSI - The Association of Christian Schools International.
Mr. Colsey and I have been married for 23 years now and have one daughter who is a Freshman at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
She went to Faith Christian Academy for 9 years. You may occasionally see Mr. Colsey on the local news or in the newspapers since
he is the Town Supervisor in the Town of Wappinger. Sometimes you will see the name "COLSEY" on campaign signs around town too..

I enjoy studying my Bible, working on the computer, decorating, doing some crafty things, reading, and singing. I have also have learned
some sign language and am excited to be able to share it with the children.
My Mission My mission for this class is to have them LOVE to learn! Learning should be fun and interesting as well as applicable to their
lives. We will learn about the various academic subjects through individual work, group projects, hands on activities and most
importantly - through PLAY. Children learn most when playing with each other and playing games. Much of what I teach will
be "hidden" in games. You will be amazed what they will learn this year. It is also very important to me to teach the children to
love and respect God and the things He has made. The children will learn many scripture verses, especially through song so that
they will stay hidden in their hearts for years to come.
Please know that what I do in the classroom is only an extension of what you have started at home. Parents ARE their child's
most important Teacher - and I am here to help you. |
