FCA MUSIC LESSONS begin the week of Sept 22nd. In-school lessons are Tuesday
through Friday. See the schedule for details.
FCA Ensemble meets after school on Wednesdays from 2:15 to 3:45 and begins the
first week in October.
ALL COUNTY FESTIVALS
Top musicians from each Dutchess County school are accepted by audition,
according to the number of students we are allocated. The school size
determines the number of participants allowed. Instrumental auditions are
taped, Choral auditions are in person with Mrs. T.
The Junior High All County Festival will be in January. Kids are selected
in October from grades 7-9
The Elementary ALL COUNTY Festival will be in FEBRUARY Kids are selected from
grades 5-6. SEE CALENDAR FOR EXACT DATES
The 07-08 NYSSMA SOLOFESTIVAL will be NYSSMA Solo Festival "1" — LaGrangeville
Middle School, April 4-5
The 07-08 NYSSMA Solo Festival "3" — South Site, Beacon HS, May 9-10 (A-S-E;
no jazz) April 20th and 21st at RC Ketcham HS for qualified instrumental and
choral students. See Mrs. Turner if you are interested. YOu will need to
audition with Mrs. T to participate. Music will be selected with your teacher
according to the new NYSSMA manual in January.
NYSSMA is open to students on almost any instrument and to choral students who
