What grades do we serve? 

Pre-Kindergarten through 10th grade in September 2009.  Currently there are about 233 students enrolled. 

Each year we will add a grade until our school completes high school and we will offer Pre Kindergarten
through 12th grade in the year 2011.

What are the school hours?

8:30am until 3:10pm in September 2009.

Before school childcare is available at 7 AM.

After school childcare is available until 6 PM. 

What special classes does FCA offer?

Gym, Music, Art, Library, Computer Lab, Optional Instrumental Music lessons.

For grades 7 & 8- Spanish, Health, Home & Career, Guitar Lessons

Does FCA have recess?

Yes, recess every day (weather permitting), on a beautiful state of the art playground.

What sports are available?

Competitive basketball team and competitive soccer team plays teams from 

other Christian Schools. Also, cheerleading is available. All sports played during gym class.

What instrumental music lessons are available?

You name it, we probably offer it....

piano, saxophone, trumpet, violin, flute, guitar, drums, clarinet, trombone, etc.

Do we have a computer lab?

Yes, computer lab for computer instruction. Computers are internet 

accessible in the computer lab and library. New computers installed in 

2007.  Laptops are available in the library.  Computers are in classrooms.

Do we integrate media in the classrooms?

Yes!  We have Smart boards, DVD/Video equipment, projectors, digital cameras 

and computers.

Do you offer extra help to students?

Yes, Teachers are available to provide extra help at least once per week, or
more, when needed. Extra help occurs during recess and after school. We also
have a remedial teacher available to give students an extra boost in their
academic area.

Do we use standardized testing?                    

Yes, the Stanford 10 Achievement test is administered each Spring to 

students in grades 2-8.  On average, our students score at least one grade 

level above in every subject, every grade.

Do we give the New York State assessments?

Yes, and our scores are competitive with the top schools in Dutchess County.

 

Do we have financial assistance or  discounts?

No financial assistance available.  We do offer a 25% discount to tithing 

members of Faith Assembly of God. Additional discounts are available for 

multiple student families and for paying the tuition annually or semiannually.

What after school activities are offered?

Basketball, Soccer, Cheerleading, Art Lessons, Arts @ Crafts, Jewelry making,

Computer Club, Drama Club, Literary Club, Praise Dance
