Home Bible Studies Mission Statement
Getting to know the Lord, the Word and the Family of God.
Home Bible Studies follow the pattern of Acts 2:42. We devote our weekly meetings to the Apostle's teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer.
Teaching: We believe that our foundation, growth, maturity and fellowship should be based on the Bible. Our goal for the Home Bible Studies is to equip people to correctly handle the Word of truth and to use the Bible as their handbook for life and ministry. 2 Timothy 2:15, Colossians 3:16
Fellowship: We meet to encourage one another and to grow in love for one another as expressed by our Lord Jesus in John 13:34-35. It’s by our love for one another that all men will know that we are his disciples. “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.” Romans 12:10
Breaking of Bread: The time we spend eating together is an important time of ministry, a time when we can refresh and strengthen one another and friendships are formed. Acts 2:46-47
Prayer: We carry each other’s burdens in prayer. Galatians 6:2 We also spend time in intercession. 1 Timothy 2:1
Vision for Home Bible Studies
Our vision is to increase the number of Home Bible Studies choices offered in homes throughout Dutchess County so that everyone attending Faith Assembly would be able to participate in a group at a convenient time and location.
